Trenton Kirchner and Saul Tepehua recently attended the Carlisle Syntec Systems applicator training in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. This training covered the installation methods for EPDM, TPO and PVC membrane roofing systems. Foster Contracting appreciates these two men and their desire to advance their professional trade knowledge and expertise.
Remington Seitz recently attended the University of Wisconsin’s Commercial Roofing Professional Development course in low slope and metal roofing systems. These courses focused on the fundamental design objectives of low slope and steep slope metal roofing systems. The courses were taught my Mark Graham, Director of Technical Services – National Roofing Contracting Association and Rob Haddock, CEO and Founder of S5!, snow retention systems.
Julie and Nelson were guests of Babcock Davis to the Best of Success conference presented by Roofing Contractor magazine. This three day conference was a great lineup of industry leading professionals in all aspects of commercial roofing. The conference held presentations about best practices such as building team culture, current hot legal topics in the industry, legislative initiatives, preparing for private equity and succession planning, integrating and retaining employees. Nelson and Julie are grateful for the invitation from Babcock Davis and are currently implementing many of the conference topics.
Nelson Smiley has completed the continuing education requirements to maintain his Registered Roof Observer certification with IIBEC. This certification confirms Nelson’s and Foster Contracting’s commitment to the highest quality installation of roofing systems for all of it’s customers. This certification provides each building owner and designer the assurance that all systems will be installed per best practices and the design intent regardless of all other considerations.
Nelson, Remington, and Trenton recently attended the IIBEC Education Symposium in St. Louis, Missouri. This event provided a valuable platform to engage with the latest developments and solutions in building enclosure science. Foster Contracting is proud to be an active contributor to the ongoing dialogue and advancement of best practices in the field.
